So I order shrimp tempura and volcano roll and asked to hold the sauce for the volcano roll. When I received my order the volcano had the sauce. I called spoke with the owner and eventually came to the restaurant with the food I had order. To my surprise, the owner was so kind. He not only corrected my order for free but added an additional order of spicy tuna roll also for free. So I ordered a drink as I waited for my food to be made. My drinks was free. This just made my night. Sometimes the right thing to do is difficult when money is involved, but the owner was very kind and understanding and easy to talk to. It truly was a great experience. I will continue be a loyal customer.
It’s a hot day...my young kids are “a lot.” I used to tell my kids about going to China Town in Chicago when I was younger and always getting pretty umbrellas in my drinks. My kiddos really liked this story and asked me if they could get drinks like I used to. So, on a whim, I took them to China Manor (i know--not quite DT Chicago on the red line) and sat them down and asked if we could order drinks with umbrellas and man.... China Manor delivered! Thank you so much for making special memories with my kiddos-- my very rambunctious and almost embarrassing chaotic stress of a family! We had a wonderful time with our special drinks and mochi dessert. I cannot thank you enough for catering to our crazy. Additionally: we’ve been dining in and ordering from here since we moved to Hampstead in 2012. I believe the owner actually delivered our first meal to our home when we were literally sitting and eating on boxes near closing hours. It's a memory I'll never forget and it's so nice to see his recognition of us when we come in. The restaurant is kid friendly, exceptional food, and top of the line service. If I can say one thing about China Manor it’s that after all our years coming here we have never been disappointed (egg foo young, chicken and vegetables, sushi galore, pork lo mein, sesame chicken, general tso chicken, egg rolls, spring rolls, edamame, crab Rangoon, wonton soup—these are our go-tos). My husband and I often go here on date night (yes, there is a bar) and just about every Christmas Eve with the kiddos. I personally, have not ever been disappointed with our experience here.
I’ve been coming to this restaurant for years, and it’s hands-down one of the best spots for Chinese food. Dine-in or takeout, the food is always fresh, and tastes great. The sushi is consistently top-notch, but my absolute favorite dish is the crispy beef – perfectly cooked, with just the right balance of crunch and savory sweetness. Great food and staff—highly recommended!
China Manor has large portions, and the food comes out in a timely fashion. Plenty of hot tea and sauces. Mr. Lee always makes our lunch/dinner experience special. Kind and welcoming. Between the 7 of us we get versions of shrimp, chicken, lamb and sushi. Everyone leaves happy! Been enjoying China Manor for over 10 years!
My son and I just had dinner this evening (4/13/2025) at China Manor in Hampstead, and of course it was another delicious meal. We started with homemade wonton soup and freshly made sweet and sour soup. Then we shared an extra large tray of assorted sushi and sushi rolls. I feel the food here is always well made and definitely good size portions. Friendly knowledgeable staff and how can I not mention Mr Lee the owner, a genuinely kind person to everyone.
Celebrated a birthday and it was fantastic. Everything was good, service was really good and we got a birthday treat!
I have been coming to China Manor since it was in Westminster many years ago! I loved when it was closer in Hampstead, and go just about everytime I go to see Mya family and friends in my hometown! Always so good and fresh & always received with the biggest hugs and smiles!! I absolutely love this place!!! (Hunan shrimp is my absolute favorite, but today, I just got fried rice *extra sprouts! And shrimp toast!!
China manor is my go to place for food and sushi. I have been going there for over 20 years. On of the best restaurants in the area. Lee the owner is an extremely nice man. And aways takes time to say hi to me and my daughter when we go. I have never had a bad experience at this restaurants.
